About The Event
Scars are not obligated to be problematic. Scar tissue "constructs" us back together when tissue integrity has been interrupted. If the regulatory mechanisms that guide this process go askew, problematic scars can form. This course will endeavour to answer riveting questions like, what is going on in there and what can my hands do about it? We will explore the primary systems and factors that influence wound healing and scar formation and dive into how massage/manual therapy (during the process ) can influence better healing outcomes and how to facilitate productive changes after scars have formed. Science/evidence is my jam, so there will be science.... and a healthy dose of heart, humor and hands-on!
