About The Event
Bringing respect and reverence to the therapeutic process is the focus of this Ethics class. Students will use the AMTA and ABMP Code of Ethics as a foundation to examine the challenging issues inherent in the massage therapy profession. Through group discussions and case studies, students will clarify their values and examine the boundaries that define a healthy and productive therapeutic relationship. Experiential learning techniques will create an enlivening environment (even fun) for both personal and professional growth.
Instructor: Sue Lembeck- Edens, MA, LMT, BC-DMT is an educator and practitioner with over 15 years of experience teaching ethics, anatomy and physiology, and professional development. A licensed massage therapist and board certified dance/movement therapist, she taught at the Mt. Nittany Institute for more than a decade and develops CE programs for massage and yoga professionals.
