About The Event
This course is designed to gain a greater understanding into the influence the sensory system has on our clients. Pain, pleasure and touch are subservient to the information the sensory system inputs to the brain. New research in neuro-science means we are understanding the sensory system and how we interact with it is a new frontier for manual therapy. The 2 day course covers research on pain, fascia, TPT's, ASMR, PNE, behavior neuroscience, biotensegrity and updates to palpation to advance our knowledge of manual therapy. There are 10 hours of lab time.
Instructor: Troy Lavigne is a highly skilled professional in massage therapy, specializing in techniques like KinesioTaping, Orthopedic/ Sports, Pediatric, and Lymphatic Drainage. He is a wealth of experience, having served as the Director of Education for Colorado AMTA from 2016-2023.
