About The Event
*This 14 hour class plus a live in-person ethics class(or any 2+ credits in person with an instructor) will meet the 16 CE in person requirements for PA state board.
According to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (Part of NIH): TMJ Dysfunction (TMJD) is the second most commonly occurring musculoskeletal condition resulting in pain and disability preceded only by chronic low back pain. NIH estimates that 5-10% of the US population suffers from TMJD.
After completing this course each participant will be able to identify the major muscles involved in TMJ joint movement, better understand the causes of TMJ pain, and apply specific Swedish techniques to help reduce TMJ pain.
Day 2 of this course includes specific neck work, intra-oral work and additional hands-on practice time. (Note: This course covers foundation level Swedish style TMJD work.)
