Palliative care for hospice patients is as varied as the individuals you will see & their diagnosis that  qualify them for hospice. Just as each therapist brings a different set of tools to each session,  each client brings new challenges & needs to each session. Learn how to adapt to those situations & be prepared for common difficulties that could arise. Communication is still key to our work but palpation is equally important.  Use your massage training to personalize & customize each treatment within your scope of practice. 

You will learn: What hospice is & how you can be a part of it as a MT. Identify situations where massage can be beneficial in hospice envirnoment. Become aware of common skin anomalies & diagnosis that you will be exposed to. Experience hands-on practice in a mock clinic.
